Project background and customer requirements

The RV camping industry in the United States has developed maturely. To improve service quality and meet the needs of different tourists, many RV campsites urgently need to supplement a batch of small and fully functional accommodation units. A well-known RV campsite located in California, USA, attracts a continuous stream of tourists all year round due to its superior geographical location and beautiful surrounding natural scenery. However, the original accommodation facilities within the camp are limited in number and outdated in style, making it difficult to meet the growing accommodation demands of tourists.

After investigating various architectural forms, the camp operator recognized the advantages of prefabricated light steel structure houses and reached a cooperation agreement with us. The client requires that each of these 30 houses has an area of 35 square meters and should have a compact and practical spatial layout, including basic functions such as sleeping, resting, simple cooking and bathroom. Meanwhile, the house should be easy to install quickly, adapt to the terrain conditions of the camp, and have good wind resistance and rain protection performance to cope with the changeable local weather. In addition, the client also hopes that the exterior of the house is simple and beautiful, in harmony with the natural environment of the camp.

Product design and customization

Considering the special usage scenarios of RV campsites in the United States and the local climate characteristics (in some parts of California, summers are hot and dry, winters are mild and rainy, and there are occasional strong winds), our design team has carried out targeted designs.

Structurally, high-strength cold-formed thin-walled light steel is used as the framework, and the steel materials are selected in accordance with the ASTM standards of the United States, ensuring the overall stability of the house structure and its ability to withstand strong winds of up to level 12 per hour. The walls and roof adopt a composite insulation structure, with high-efficiency insulation cotton filled in the inner layer and waterproof and moisture-proof decorative panels covered on the outer layer. This not only ensures the insulation and heat insulation performance of the house but also effectively prevents rainwater from seeping in.

In terms of spatial layout, the 35-square-meter house is rationally divided into multiple functional areas. The ingenious partition design between each functional area ensures the independence and privacy of the space without making it feel crowded.

The exterior design adheres to a minimalist style. The exterior walls are decorated with light-colored anti-corrosion wood boards, complemented by glass Windows, which not only enhance indoor lighting but also harmonize harmoniously with the natural environment of the campsite. The bottom of the house is designed with an adjustable bracket structure, which is convenient for height adjustment according to the terrain of the camp and can adapt to different ground conditions.

Production manufacturing and quality control

In the production and manufacturing process, relying on standardized production lines, we have achieved batch production of 30 sets of house components. The production process is strictly carried out in accordance with the design drawings and relevant American building standards. The light steel frame is precisely processed on automated production equipment, with dimensional errors controlled within ±2mm.

In terms of raw materials, strict tests are conducted on indicators such as the strength of steel and the thickness of the galvanized layer. Insulation materials and decorative panels also undergo environmental performance tests to ensure compliance with environmental protection requirements in the United States. Each production process has a dedicated person responsible for quality inspection. For instance, each welding point of the light steel frame is inspected one by one to ensure a firm weld. Verify the cutting and splicing accuracy of the plates to ensure the smooth progress of subsequent installation.

After all the components were produced, we conducted an overall pre-assembly test on one of the houses, comprehensively inspecting the fit of each component, the stability of the structure, and the integrity of all functions. We promptly identified and resolved any minor issues that emerged during the assembly process, providing a guarantee for batch installation.

Transportation and Delivery

As the components of 30 houses need to be transported to the United States, the transportation link is of vital importance. We have chosen a professional international freight forwarder to arrange container transportation reasonably based on the size and weight of the house components. Classify and package the components of each house, use moisture-proof and shock-proof packaging materials, and carry out special reinforcement treatment on vulnerable parts to prevent damage during transportation.

Before loading, all components should be thoroughly counted and numbered, and a detailed packing list should be made. The list should include the names, quantities, dimensions of the components and the corresponding house numbers, etc., to facilitate the customer’s receipt and counting. At the same time, adequate transportation insurance was purchased for the goods to deal with possible transportation risks.

During the transportation process, the transportation status of the goods is tracked in real time through the logistics information system, and the location of the goods and the estimated arrival time are promptly fed back to the customers. After the goods arrived at the port of Los Angeles, USA, we assisted the client in handling the customs clearance procedures and contacted the local transportation company to safely and punctually deliver the goods in batches to the RV campsite.

Project implementation and on-site installation

After the goods arrived at the RV campsite, we dispatched a professional installation team of three people to the United States to be responsible for the installation of these 30 houses.

Before installation, the team and the camp staff jointly leveled and planned the site, determining the installation location for each house. The installation process was carried out strictly in accordance with the preset procedures. First, the light steel frame was assembled and fixed. Then, the walls, roof, doors and Windows and other components were installed in sequence. Next, the connection of water and electricity pipelines and interior decoration were carried out.

During the installation process, the team paid close attention to the details, such as the sealing of doors and Windows and the application of waterproof coatings, to ensure that all the performance of the house met the design standards. After installation is completed, a comprehensive quality inspection should be conducted on each house, including structural stability, water and electricity functions, waterproofing performance, etc., to ensure that the houses can be used normally.

Customer feedback and project outcomes

After the project was completed, the operator of the RV campsite was very satisfied with these 30 sets of prefabricated light steel structure houses. The customer stated that the spatial layout of the house is compact and reasonable, basically meeting the accommodation needs of tourists. The interior facilities are complete and it is convenient and comfortable to use.

In terms of performance, the house has withstood several tests of local windy and rainy weather without any problems such as leakage or deformation, and its wind and rain resistance is reliable. In terms of appearance, the house is simple and beautiful, blending in with the natural environment of the camp and enhancing the overall image of the camp.

In addition, the rapid installation period has significantly shortened the time for upgrading camp facilities, enabling these houses to be put into use as soon as possible and bringing considerable economic benefits to the camp. The camp operator said that after these houses were put into use, the occupancy rate of tourists increased significantly, and tourists’ evaluations of the accommodation conditions also improved greatly. The client also reached a follow-up cooperation intention with us and plans to further increase the number of houses in the camp in the future.
