Project Review: Build Poolside Resort Complex with Light Steel A-Frame Buildings in 90 Days

In the summer of 2025, a private owner in the Netherlands planned an outdoor heated pool. She initially chose traditional brick outbuildings. Yet local rules and woodland terrain blocked the plan. Finally, we delivered three connected prefab buildings, including the insulated A frame cabin. From design to handover, the whole work took just 90 days. This article reviews the whole project in detail.

Three Major Dilemmas Faced by the Property Owner

First, the site sits in woodland with soft soil and high underground water. Meanwhile, the three buildings serve different daily needs. The light steel A frame house acts as short-stay guest rooms for friends and relatives.
Second, the project had a strict budget cap of 128,000 euros. Also, local laws set limits on construction work. Workers could not dig over 50 square meters of land. Besides, construction had to avoid the bird migration season.
Third, traditional building methods brought obvious flaws. They failed to fit the local environment and rules well. The owner had to abandon the original brick and wood building plans.

Poor Moisture and Heat Retention of Traditional Buildings

The Netherlands stays humid all year round. Traditional wooden buildings lack heat insulation layers. Thus, indoor walls easily get damp and moldy near pools.
Local neighbors spent over 4,200 euros on annual maintenance. In fact, old wooden structures needed repairs twice a year. Clearly, they could not adapt to wet poolside conditions.

Compliance and Terrain Restrictions in Woodland Areas

Traditional brick buildings need large concrete foundations. They required digging 120 square meters of land. For this reason, the plans violated local ecological protection rules.
The sloped and soft ground also stopped heavy construction machines. Workers could not carry out normal building work here. Local approval rates for such projects were below 20%.

Schedule Conflicts and Rising Labor Costs

Local construction workers charge high hourly wages. Traditional on-site building would take 210 days. Moreover, the long period would hit the bird migration ban period.
Extended work would lead to municipal fines. Meanwhile, labor costs rose 8% each extra month. The total budget would definitely go over the limit in the end.

Core Reasons for Choosing Our Prefab Solutions

We competed with local wooden house makers and container renovators. Eventually, the owner picked our integrated prefab plans with three key advantages. Here we adopt the practical A frame pool house for supporting use.
First, light steel structures weigh much less than wooden buildings. We only used scattered independent foundations. Therefore, the digging area dropped to 38 square meters. It fully met woodland construction rules.
Second, all buildings come with standard thermal insulation parts. Thick rock wool walls and waterproof layers resist dampness well. The indoor temperature stays steady even in cold winter days.
Third, we unified the roof angle and outer materials of three buildings. In this way, the whole courtyard keeps a neat and unified visual style. The overall layout looks harmonious and orderly.

Four Stages of 90-Day Full Project Implementation

We followed standard cross-border prefab building procedures. The project finished on time within 90 days. We split the whole process into four clear stages.

Design & Communication (Day 1 to Day 22)

We worked with local compliance consultants first. Then we revised drawings to match local woodland building codes. We adjusted vents of the A frame pool house for fire safety.
Next, we optimized roof slopes to stop water and fallen leaves. We also unified eave heights for smooth walking routes. All design details fit local use and safety standards.

Factory Production (Day 23 to Day 55)

Three production lines worked at the same time. Workers made main frames and floors for the light steel A frame house. They also installed insulation and wall panels for cabins.
Besides, workers pre-installed floors, bars and water systems for poolside buildings. All parts passed strict water and corrosion tests before delivery. The assembly error was controlled within 2mm.

Cross-border Logistics & Customs (Day 56 to Day 75)

We split building parts into 21 standard shipping containers. This move cut logistics costs by making full use of space. Meanwhile, we applied for tariff reductions for green building materials.
The goods cleared customs in just three days after arriving at the port. Then trucks delivered all parts straight to the woodland site. No extra transit work was needed on the way.

On-site Assembly & Final Handover (Day 76 to Day 90)

Two of our supervisors and four local workers handled on-site work. They used bolt connection methods without welding or large cranes. The pre-made foundations were ready one week in advance.
Workers finished assembly, wiring and pipe connection quickly. The whole process created no dust or extra digging. All buildings passed fire, insulation and water supply checks smoothly.

Real Feedback from the Property Owner

The owner shared her true thoughts after project completion. She used to doubt the quality of cross-border prefab buildings. Now she is fully satisfied with the final results.
She said the insulated A frame cabin stays warm in cold seasons. The poolside floors never deform after long-term water soaking. The whole standardized service saved her lots of trouble.

Applicable Scenarios for the Combined Building Plan

In short, this insulated A frame cabin sets works well for many projects. First, it fits private yards near woods or lakes in European and American regions. Second, it suits scenic camps with pools and guest rooms. Third, it serves as removable temporary buildings on short-term leased land. We can provide certification, filing and local team services for different regions. Feel free to contact us for drawings and quotes.
